AH PPA deadline

PPA reports for PPAs 1.1, 1.2 and 2.2 are due to be with me by Monday 5th November. Make reference to the SQA PPA guidelines (available on this site) and PPA instructions booklet to help you.

Higher assessment dates

  • Section 4 (The Mole and Enthalpy): Monday 29th October
  • Unit 1 NAB: Monday 5th November

AH Investigation deadlines

As agreeded yesterday:

  • Requisitions to be discussed with the Technicians by Wednesday 24th October. Risk assessments must be completed and signed off by me before you will be allowed any of the chemicals you order.
  • All practical work to be completed by the Christmas holiday.
  • You should aim to have the first draft of your Investigation report completed by the Christmas holiday. The deadline is the first day of the S5/6 Prelim diet.

As recommended today, it would be a good idea to re-attempt (at least once) the questions and to refer to your notes made in class for guidance.

Remember also that you can practice these questions in SQA Past Papers (available on this site or the SQA site) and mark them with marking instructions (available from me or the SQA website).

As we said in class today, the S4 Prelim exam is in less than two months. For this exam, it is very important that you can write chemical formulae. This PowerPoint should help with your revision for that:
